About Matthew
Matthew is a junior game designer and digital concept artist who has been creating board games since high school. That passion to develop entertaining games became a clear career path, leading him to earning a Bachelors degree in Game Design and further publishing his first game on Steam in 2017. Since then, he has been working on many personal development projects, becoming more proficient in writing games rules, scripting in C#, and writing better game documentation. With a specialization in Unity development engine, he has years of experience dating back to 2015. In addition, Matthew possesses talents in 2D art, including concept art, pixel art animation, UX/UI, and graphic design, boasting over 10 years experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. More recently, he began a journey creating 3D models and characters in Blender, looking to bolster his utility within a team environment.

While studying at Full Sail University, Matthew had the honor of practicing under masters of game design. Course work included learning game development principles, data structures, project management, studying mechanics, writing game design documents, and scripting in C#.

Matthew Sahakian's first published game project released on Steam. Above: The Fallen is a co-op puzzle platformer where you and a friend explore a magical forest, traverse upward, and must use your abilities in combination with your co-op partner. Alternatively, the game can be played solo to challenge your brain by controlling the two characters each with a joystick on your gamepad of choice.

Matthew's long history of game development includes many personal unpublished projects which are detailed here. Game design will always be a passion for Matthew and you can expect to see many more games--both tabletop and digital.
